About Our Practice
APPOINTMENTS
We see all patients on a scheduled appointment basis, and we have reserved that time for you.
We try hard to see all of our patients on time, however
sometimes emergencies arise and we are unable to do so. If you cannot keep
your appointment, please
contact us 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time so that we may use
that time for other patients. There is a Broken Appointment fee of $20.00
per 15
minutes
of scheduled time for any appointment missed.
EMERGENCIES
We know emergencies may arise and we will do everything possible to meet your needs. If you have an emergency, please call as early in the day as possible so that we can get you scheduled to see the doctor. If you have an emergency after our office hours, please call the office and the answering machine will let you know which number to call. The doctor on call will return your call as soon as possible.
RECALL VISITS
We believe in regular preventive care and encourage all of our patients to return for periodic recalls. At the time of your recall please inform us of any changes in your health or medication, address or telephone number, as well as changes in your dental insurance coverage.
INSURANCE FEES AND PAYMENTS
We participate in many insurance plans including
Aetna PPO, Anthem Blue Cross PPO, Connecticut General PPO, Delta Premier, United
Concordia, etc.
We will file most insurance claims.
We will also estimate what the patient’s co-payments will be, which is due
at the time of service. We do call and get an estimate of benefits from each
insurance company; however, it is up to the patient to assume responsibility
for whatever the insurance does not cover.
DIAGNOSIS
To prevent the further advance of dental disease, we do
a
complete
exam
and
review your medical and dental history. Your exam will include the evaluation
of gums,
bone, teeth and other oral tissues, and X-rays when needed. All of this will
help us in finding past, present and potential problems. At the completion of
our exam, we will discuss our findings with you and recommend whatever treatment
options are available.
INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL
For your protection, our office uses heat and steam sterilization
of our instruments and hand pieces. We utilize disposable dental products whenever
possible to safeguard you from transmission of various diseases. We are compliant
with all OSHA regulations.
COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss
them with any of our staff members. We are here to help you in any way that we
can.
We look forward to serving all of your Dental needs.
