Meet our Doctors
Bryan Dixon, DDS also a founding partner of Commonwealth Dentistry graduated from MCV School of Dentistry in 1996 where he was honored as the the International College of Dentistry Award recipient. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Academy of Laser Dentistry. He has also done specialized training in Laser Dentistry and extensive continuing education on dental implant placement. When not in the office he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
McKenzie Woodard, DDS attended Virginia Tech graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Chemistry then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from VCU School of Dentistry. She started working with Commonwealth Dentistry after graduation in 2011. She is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and Richmond Dental Society. Dr. Woodard practiced in Charleston, SC from 2013-2016 and was honored as South Carolina’s New Dentist of the Year in 2014 by the South Carolina Dental Association. She and husband Peyton live in Richmond and have two children, Harper and Palmer.
Luiza Kreuzer, DDS Originally from Bucharest, Romania, attended Virginia Commonwealth University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual major in biology and chemistry. In 2009 she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from VCU dental school. She has worked with Commonwealth Dentistry since graduating in 2009. Doctor Kreuzer has a passion for volunteering, recently she has been working with dental school students in treating local nursing home residents. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, dancing, and spending time with family. She is the proud parent of a ten-year-old daughter, Julia. Dr. Kreuzer is committed to providing the highest-quality dental care, and focused on patient comfort levels through gentle and efficient treatment methods.
Emil Christofakis, DDS Joined the Commonwealth Dentistry team in 2014. He grew up in Richmond and graduated at the top of his class from VCU School of Dentistry. He then completed advanced training at the General Practice Residency through the McGuire VA Medical Center. Dr. Christofakis enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with particular interests in periodontal and dentoalveolar surgery as well as dental implant placement. He is certified in Oral/Intravenous Sedation and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support. He teaches part time at VCU School of Dentistry and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his wife Tassia and their dog Max.
Matthew Stafford, DDS is a native of Chesterfield County, Virginia. He graduated from Brigham Young University, earning a degree in Biology and was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from VCU. The delicate balance of art, science, education, and patient interaction is what fuels his love for dentistry. He strives to provide his patients with the utmost care and respect and make dental treatment as comfortable as possible. Dr. Stafford is an active member in the community, belonging to the Richmond Dental Society, Virginia Dental Association, American Dental Association. Volunteering his time and knowledge, he finds joy in visiting elementary school classrooms to teach the importance of dental health.In his spare time, Dr. Stafford enjoys running, reading, sports, and outdoor activities. Most of all, he cherishes time with his two children.
